The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed about the significant quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration here Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The services position created for intervention encounters a superior sassa status influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
